Transparency matters more than clever algorithms. Users deserve to know exactly where their data goes and how long facial estimation models retain their scans. Delete the biometric data immediately after verification finishes. Do not hoard it in a cloud server.

Parents also need better tools that live on the device level rather than relying on social media companies to police themselves. Operating system controls built directly into smartphones provide a much more reliable boundary than individual app settings.
